Call for COALAR Grants 2025-26

The Council on Australia-Latin America Relations (COALAR) has opened the application process for its grants for the period 2025-26, which will be developed in two stages:

Stage 1 - Expression of Interest (EOI): responses should be submitted no later than September 4, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. (AEST).

Stage 2 - Complete application: only for applicants selected in the first stage.

Organizations, individuals and consortiums that meet the eligibility criteria and whose projects are aligned with the four objectives and five priority areas established in the Strategic Plan 2024-2027 may apply.

Key details:

Grant amount: between AUD $10,000 and AUD $50,000.

Additional contributions: financial or in-kind are highly recommended to strengthen the proposal.

Maximum project duration: 1 year.

Start date: from February/March 2026 and no later than May 31, 2026.

The Government of Switzerland has opened the call for Excellence Scholarships and financial aid programs aimed at international students, including applicants from Chile.

Both the Swiss Government(www.sbfi.admin.ch/scholarships_eng) and the Leading House of Latin America, administered by the University of St. Gallen(https://gimla.unisg.ch/en/leading-house), offer opportunities for study or research in Switzerland during the academic year 2026-2027.

Within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA171 call, there is 1 scholarship available for staff, for which you can review the background and characteristics of the respective agreement.

 

Applicants will be selected according to the following criteria:

 

a) Respond to a joint project between universities (30%)

CLIFF-GRADS Scholarships – Round 7

Round 7 of the CLIFF-GRADS (Climate, Food and Farming, Global Research Alliance Development Scholarships) Scholarship Program is now open to doctoral students from developing countries, including Chile.

This program, promoted by the Global Research Alliance on Agricultural Greenhouse Gases (GRA), the Global Methane Hub, and the CGIAR Climate Action Program, seeks to strengthen the capacities of young researchers in the quantification and mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions in agricultural systems.


👤 Who can apply?

  • Doctoral students from developing countries (Latin America and the Caribbean).

  • Doctoral students pursuing their studies in Chile or another developing country.

  • Individuals who have not previously received a CLIFF-GRADS scholarship.

Erasmus Student Mobility Grant University of Córdoba Spain 2026

We hereby announce the opening of the competition for a scholarship to study at the University of Córdoba, taking into account the following:
 
1. Mobility grant for students of the Doctorate in Mathematics Education (PUCV) to the UCO.
 
 2. The scholarship includes a monthly stipend of €850, €1,500 for travel expenses, and insurance coverage provided by the UCO.
 
 3. The duration of the stay can be from 3 to 5 months, with a deadline of June 30.
 
 Selection criteria:
 
Applicants will be evaluated according to the following criteria:
 
a) Academic merit (100 points): Academic performance, productivity, and participation in outreach events related to your thesis will be evaluated. Send a document summarizing the information and supporting evidence.
 
b) Work plan (100 points): Clarity, feasibility, and relevance of the proposed mobility plan. Submit a document summarizing the information.
 
c) Other merits – Motivation (100 points): Letter of motivation. Preference will be given to students who do not have an ANID scholarship and who are developing their doctoral thesis on teacher training in the field of arithmetic and algebraic thinking. Send a document summarizing the information and supporting evidence, if applicable.
 
 4. Application dates: December 10 to 13.

🎓 Call for applications for Carolina Foundation Scholarships 2026–2027

The Carolina Foundation has opened its 2026–2027 Call for Applications for Doctoral Scholarships and Short Postdoctoral Fellowships, aimed at academics from Chilean universities belonging to the Council of Rectors of Chilean Universities (CRUCH).

This call seeks to strengthen doctoral training and international academic cooperation with Spanish universities.

 

Types of scholarships

• Doctoral scholarships
• Short postdoctoral stays

 

Who can apply?

 

Doctoral Scholarships
  • Individuals holding a master's degree that allows access to doctoral studies in the country where the degree was awarded.

  • Application to doctoral programs at Spanish universities with current agreements with the Carolina Foundation.

Postdoctoral Fellowships
  • Researchers who undertake short stays at Spanish universities affiliated with the program.

Destination universities

 

  • More than 60 Spanish universities with current agreements.

  • Some stays are co-financed by the host university.

Benefits

 

  • Monthly child support payment.

  • In some cases, improvement of the stipend through co-financing (up to an additional €400 per month).

  • Access to international academic networks.

  • Strengthening Chile–Spain cooperation.

The improvement in the monthly contribution does not apply to short stays.

Call for Applications: Erasmus+ KA171 Doctoral Internship Grant at Rovira i Virgili University

This call for applications is open to students in the Doctoral Program in History and offers an international mobility grant to pursue an academic internship focused on heritage education and museums as resources for teaching and learning.

As part of the Erasmus+ KA171 Program, applications are now being accepted for an international mobility grant for doctoral students in History at the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso, who will have the opportunity to complete a doctoral internship at Rovira i Virgili University (URV) in Spain.

The initiative offers a scholarship and aims to enhance international academic experiences related to heritage education and the use of museums as resources for teaching and learning.

The doctoral internship must be linked to the development of a work plan related to:

  • Heritage education.
  • Museums as tools for teaching and learning.

Applicants will be evaluated in accordance with the guidelines of the Erasmus+ KA171 Program and based on the following criteria:

• Letter of invitation from the host university: 30%
Issued by the faculty member who will be supervising the student at the URV.

• Work plan: 20%
Feasibility and relevance will be evaluated.

• Socioeconomic assessment: 20%
Conducted by the Office of International Exchange based on the submitted documentation.

• Letter of recommendation from a PUCV faculty member: 20%

  • Issued by a school or college administrator: 20%
  • Issued by a faculty member of a school or institute: 10%

• Cover letter: 10%
Clarity and structure will be evaluated.


Candidates will be evaluated by the relevant committee in accordance with its regulations and in line with the guidelines of the Erasmus+ KA171 Program.

The application period will run from May 14 to May 20, 2026.
