The Pontifical Catholic University, through the General Directorate of International Affairs, attended the United States Independence Day Celebration, which commemorated 200 years of diplomatic relations and the 20th anniversary of the FTA signed between Chile and the U.S. This event took place in Espacio Riesco, Santiago.
The celebration of U.S. Independence Day was led by the U.S. Ambassador to Chile, Bernadette Meehan.
The ambassador highlighted the many areas of cooperation between the United States and Chile, from educational exchanges and space exploration, to the protection of human rights and the strengthening of democratic institutions, to innovations in health care, agriculture, energy and technology.
