Welcome Ceremony for International Students at PUCV

In the Auditorium of the School of Business and Economics of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, the Welcome Ceremony was held for international students who have chosen Chile and, in particular, the PUCV, as a destination to live an enriching academic and cultural experience. Coming from various regions of the world, these young people begin a journey that combines learning, cultural exchange and personal growth.

The event was presided over by the Director General of International Affairs, Professor Orlando de la Vega Luna, who in his speech highlighted the importance of this intercultural experience for the formation of lasting bonds and mutual enrichment. "This is a unique opportunity to broaden your horizons and build friendships that transcend borders," he said.

During the ceremony, Father Cristian Eichin, Vice Chancellor had a special moment to bless the foreign students, wishing them success and well-being in this new stage of their lives. In addition, the event featured an artistic presentation by the Tuna de Distrito de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso.

The ceremony culminated with a cocktail in which the new students had the opportunity to share their expectations and experiences with professors, university authorities and special guests. This space also served to inform the young people about the various activities and opportunities offered by the Valparaiso region and the country in general, both in the academic, cultural and recreational fields.

This meeting marks the beginning of a new academic period and the start of an intercultural experience that will undoubtedly leave a significant mark in the lives of these students. PUCV reaffirms its commitment to internationalization and the formation of global citizens, where culture and education become bridges to a more connected and enriching future.

Welcome to Chile, welcome to Valparaíso and, most especially, welcome to PUCV, where diversity and knowledge come together to build a better world!
