The Casa Central of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, was the venue for the "Match Making Law + Engineering" event, designed to foster interdisciplinary collaboration between students from the Faculties of Law and Engineering, in preparation for the expected Innova Day 2024, which will take place on Wednesday, October 23.
The activity brought together students, academics and professionals in the Alberto Cruz Room of Casa Central, where they shared experiences and generated new ideas for legal innovation projects. The event was attended by Marcelo Aguilar, a PUCV lawyer and Legal Director of ENAP, and Sebastián Velásquez, an industrial civil engineer and head of Insurance Operations at Banco Santander, who shared their professional careers and their experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
During the day, students had the opportunity to interact, establish links and form teams that will work on innovative projects. This event encouraged the generation of new ideas and motivated students to collaborate in projects that integrate legal and engineering knowledge, highlighting the importance of innovation in both fields.
The event was organized by the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Law of the PUCV, with the support of the Directorate General of International Affairs and the LMI Lab (Legal Management Innovation Lab).
This event was a prelude to Innova Day 2024, aimed at students of Law and Engineering or related areas, both from national and foreign universities, as well as lawyers from different countries.
