In the Hall of Honor of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, a ceremony was held to welcome international students from various countries in Europe, Oceania, South America and North America. These young people have chosen Chile, and especially the PUCV, to live an enriching study abroad experience.
The activity was headed by the General Director of International Affairs, Professor Orlando de la Vega, who in his welcome speech highlighted the importance of this intercultural experience for the construction of lasting friendships and personal enrichment. He invited the students to immerse themselves in a process of integral immersion, combining academics with social, cultural, sports and recreational activities.
Father José Pablo Valencia, General Chaplain of the PUCV Pastoral, blessed the young foreign students. The meeting included an artistic performance of traditional Chilean dance.
The ceremony culminated with a cocktail that allowed the new foreign students of PUCV to share their expectations and experiences with professors and special guests. This moment served to continue orienting the students about the various activities and opportunities offered by the region and the country.
This meeting marks the beginning of a new academic period, and also the opening of a path towards an intercultural experience that will enrich your lives. Welcome to Chile, welcome to Valparaíso and, most especially, welcome to PUCV, where culture and education are a bridge to a global future!
