PUCV hosted AGCID's Participatory Public Account 2024

The Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso (PUCV) hosted the Participatory Public Account 2024 of the Chilean Agency for International Development Cooperation (AGCID), an event that took place in the Quinto Centenario Hall of its Main House.

The activity was attended by the Executive Director of AGCID, Enrique O'Farrill Julien, who presented the balance and the main results of the management of the international cooperation that Chile carries out and receives, highlighting the progress achieved and the future challenges in development cooperation.

The welcoming remarks were given by the General Director of International Affairs of the PUCV, Professor Orlando de la Vega Luna, who reaffirmed the University's commitment to strengthening international links and generating spaces for participatory dialogue on sustainable development and international collaboration. On the occasion, he also emphasized the importance of carrying out this type of activities in the regions, indicating that "it is essential to decentralize these meetings, traditionally concentrated in Santiago, and to open spaces for reflection and participation in other areas of the country".

The Participatory Public Account is a key instance to promote transparency, co-responsibility and citizen participation in the public management of international cooperation.

The event brought together representatives from the academic world, public institutions, civil society, diplomatic corps and international organizations, consolidating the PUCV as a space of reference for the critical and collaborative analysis of international development policy.
