Representatives of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, headed by the Vice Rector for Development, Jorge Mendoza, and the General Director of International Affairs, Orlando de la Vega, participated in the plaque laying ceremony of the "Paso Centauro Project", a collaborative initiative between the Region of Valparaíso and the Province of Mendoza (Argentina), which seeks to streamline border procedures through interoperable systems.
The meeting was held on April 10 at the Cristo Redentor Complex, on the border between the two countries, and was attended by university authorities, public officials and representatives of the private sector from Chile and Argentina.
It is worth mentioning that the Paso Centauro Project has been led by Senator Kenneth Pugh, in collaboration with the PUCV and the National University of Cuyo (UNCUYO) and aims to facilitate the secure exchange of data between the Los Libertadores (Chile) and Horcones (Argentina) customs complexes, reducing redundant procedures and improving crossing efficiency.
