PUCV held farewell ceremony for foreign students of the Summer 1 Program

In June, 13 students who attended the Summer 1-2024 Program at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso (PUCV) returned to their countries. The team of the General Directorate of International Affairs of the PUCV, headed by its general director, Orlando de la Vega, greeted them and gave the words of good homecoming to the foreign students. In addition, Professor de la Vega invited them to make the most of this experience lived at PUCV; excellence, tolerance, solidarity, integrity and commitment. "Live these values day by day, keep giving your best and remember that you are ambassadors of your universities," he said.

He also stressed that these student mobility actions are part of the work developed by the PUCV in international collaboration with multiple higher education institutions around the world. The "Summer" program is characterized as a total immersion program, in which students, depending on their level of oral and written comprehension of the Spanish language, improve and strengthen their language skills through communicative, academic and practical contexts. In them, students interact and get to know the Chilean culture, environment, people and students.
