PUCV reinforces its international commitment to sustainability with participation in Biofuturo 2025 Summit

The Directorate General of International Affairs (DGAI) of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso actively participated with an institutional stand at the Biofuturo 2025 Summit, an international event that brought together actors from academia, science, business and government to reflect on the challenges and opportunities of the circular bioeconomy in Ibero-America.

The meeting took place between July 22 and 24 at the Casa Central of the PUCV, with an outstanding national and international attendance. The DGAI was part of the networking brunch area held on July 23, where it presented the work developed by the University in terms of internationalization, sustainability and global linkage, highlighting academic cooperation programs, student mobility and strategic alliances with international networks.

DGAI's participation was part of the institutional commitment to strengthen global links and promote the exchange of knowledge in key areas for sustainable development. The stand generated opportunities for dialogue with representatives of foreign universities, international organizations, research centers and science-based enterprises.

"The Biofuturo Summit was an excellent platform to make visible the role of internationalization in the processes of sustainable transformation. As PUCV, we reaffirm our commitment to international cooperation in strategic areas for the future of our region and the planet," said Orlando de la Vega, Director General of International Affairs.

The event was organized by the Curauma Biotechnology Nucleus (NBC) and the Biofuturo CYTED Network, with the support of CORFO, and was attended by experts from more than 10 countries.
