Successful Completion of the Diploma Course in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language

The strategic collaboration between the Pontifical Catholic University, the General Directorate of International Affairs and SICELE has come to an end with the successful conclusion of the Diploma in Updating the Teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language. This educational program, which was launched on January 8, has fulfilled its purpose of updating knowledge and pedagogical methods, incorporating the latest research in areas such as pragmatics and biliteracy.

The focus of the curriculum has been on the practical application of Spanish, with the goal of providing participants with the language skills necessary for effective communication. In addition to grammar review, students are expected to gain tangible benefits, such as increased fluency in the language, better cultural understanding and the ability to function in diverse Spanish-speaking environments.

The diploma's commitment goes beyond simply raising the quality of teaching Spanish as a foreign language; it also seeks to provide learners with an enriching educational experience that prepares them to confidently face the challenges of a world where Spanish plays a crucial role. This achievement highlights Pontificia Universidad Católica's continued commitment to academic excellence in the training of professionals in the teaching of Spanish.
