DGAI PUCV Participated in the First Viña del Mar Internationalization Fair

The General Directorate of International Affairs (DGAI) of the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso (PUCV) participated in the first Viña del Mar Internationalization Fair, titled “Opportunities for the Future,” an initiative organized by the Outreach Department of the Municipality of Viña del Mar to introduce high school students in the municipality to opportunities for international education and development.

The event took place in the gardens of the Palacio Rioja and was attended by various institutions involved in education, cooperation, and international exchange, which presented their programs and initiatives to young people interested in expanding their academic and professional opportunities.

In this context, the DGAI PUCV was present with an information booth, through which it promoted the internationalization opportunities offered by the University, particularly in areas such as student mobility, academic exchanges, and language learning.

The fair was aimed at 11th- and 12th-grade students from ten schools in Viña del Mar, with an estimated 500 young people in attendance. The initiative sought to create a space for direct interaction between the participating institutions and the students, facilitating access to information on scholarships, studying abroad, volunteer opportunities, and other options for international engagement.

The event also featured various artistic and cultural performances, including a performance by the Estadio Español Valparaíso–Viña del Mar Choir, demonstrations of the traditional Lion Dance and Baduanjin by the Confucius Institute, and a performance by the Giuseppe Verdi Choir, representing the Italian community.
