The Director of the Ibero-American University Foundation (FUNIBER), Vivian Lipari, and the Director of the Innovation and Development Foundation (FIDBAN), Diego Lainz, visited the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso (PUCV) as part of initiatives to strengthen international collaboration and linkages between entrepreneurs, investors and academia.
During their visit, they met with the General Director of International Affairs of the PUCV, Orlando de la Vega, with Ignacio Bahamonde, Director of International Projects, Luis Mercado, Vice Rector for Research, Creation and Innovation (VINCI), who highlighted the university's commitment to promoting research and technology transfer; Katherine Westerhout, Coordinator of The Lift, a space dedicated to innovation and entrepreneurship within the university; Carolina Bugueño, Head of Liaison and Communications; Lorena Jorquera, academic from the School of Construction Engineering; and Macarena Rosenkranz, Director of the Office of Transfer and Licensing (OTL). The talks focused on exploring opportunities for cooperation between FIDBAN and FUNIBER with the PUCV, with the aim of generating networking spaces, promoting innovation and development projects, and connecting entrepreneurs with potential investors.
