Orlando De La Vega, Director of the General Directorate of International Affairs PUCV, participated in the meeting of Socialization of the Institutional Strategic Development Plan on internationalization. The meeting will allow observations to be made on the document that will govern the destinies of our University for the period 2023 and 2029 and will soon be analyzed by the Superior Council.
The General Director of International Affairs, Orlando de la Vega, referred to the challenges faced by our University in the internationalization for integration into a global society.
"This area is very relevant and has been highlighted by the Rector's Office in its government program. Subsequently, it has asked us to strengthen the international aspect, where the University has a long tradition, but now we are looking at how to deepen and broaden these matters. Academics play a central role in international links as professors and researchers, we want to contribute so that these activities can be improved and develop new opportunities in various areas within the PUCV," he added.
More than 8,200 members of the university community have participated in this process, which began in September 2022 with the strategic diagnosis and the development of a Full Senate to advance in the development of a new vision for the PUCV. In 2023, the process continued with the advice of international experts and the Pensemos PUCV (Let's Think PUCV) in March.
