Spanish professor travels to Chile to give leadership workshop at the PUCV

The Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso (PUCV), María Teresa Blanco, was the one who proposed to José Luis Ucieda, an academic from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, to travel to Chile to lead a leadership workshop that sought to strengthen the competencies of students and graduates.

A seminar -whose interactive methodology combined theoretical presentations and group dynamics- was also held for university managers and department heads, who were able to strengthen their management and leadership skills.

In this way, it is possible to better understand the strengths and areas of improvement of each person, which facilitates the creation of diverse and complementary teams that can leverage their differences as a competitive advantage in an international environment.

Precisely, the internationalization of higher education is one of the priority axes of the PUCV. Therefore, through these instances it seeks to strengthen cooperation and integration with institutions from different countries, to improve its quality, relevance and visibility in an increasingly globalized world.

In addition, the academic from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid values the emphasis that the PUCV has placed on this point, because it contributes to the scientific, technological and cultural development of the countries, by promoting the exchange of knowledge, experiences and good practices.
