In addition to its renowned academic excellence, this institution is distinguished by its international focus, enriching the education of its students and contributing to the development of an increasingly global and interconnected society.
Preparing Future Global Leaders
"We are a regional and national university with a global outlook," says Professor Orlando de la Vega, General Director of International Affairs at PUCV. The institution is committed to educating its students with an international perspective that will enable them to lead in an interconnected world.
Internationalization is a priority in PUCV's Strategic Plan 2023-2029. This focus is reflected in initiatives such as the Student Exchange Program, which empowers students to explore cultures and educational systems abroad, broadening their academic and personal horizons.
Forging Unforgettable Experiences
Ivania Yáñez, Director of International Exchange, stresses the importance of student exchange as an essential formative experience. In addition to strengthening academic education, exchange fosters understanding of different cultures, the building of international networks and the acquisition of intercultural skills that will enrich students' future lives.
The foreign experience also empowers students to face the world with a broader perspective. "They mold and complement their educational process with a global view of society," says Orlando de la Vega.
Challenges Overcome
PUCV is committed to breaking down barriers. The university is expanding its educational offerings with a "Second Cycle of English" to strengthen the linguistic competence of its students and ensure that language is not an obstacle to exploring global opportunities.
International Attractiveness
Foreign students also find in PUCV a unique opportunity. Attracted by the academic quality and the possibility of getting to know Chilean culture, PUCV welcomes students from all over the world, enriching its community and fostering cultural exchange.
