Visit of the U.S. Ambassador to the PUCV

The Ambassador of the United States in Chile, Bernadette M. Meehan visited the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso and met in the morning with PUCV authorities at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism to continue supporting the empowerment of women in science along with the Mayor of Villa Alemana, Javiera Toledo and Admiral Leiva in the framework of "STEAM and Gender: Strengthening the trajectories of girls and young women in public schools in Villa Alemana" which has been developed by the Research Center for Inclusive Education, the CIDSTEM Research Center and Aconcagua Lab. of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, in conjunction with the Corporación Municipal de Villa Alemana (CMVA) and Academia Diálogo Ciudadano.

He then went to the Faculty of Engineering where he met with Nelson Vásquez, PUCV Rector, Orlando de la Vega, General Director of International Affairs, the authorities of the Faculty of Engineering and with Professor Francisco Pizarro who was awarded a project from the international agency Office of Naval Research Global (ONRG) to develop his 3D printing initiative for millimeter wave topologies.
