Since 2023, collaborators of the CIIRID Idea project have been working on research on offsite construction, also known as prefabricated or modular construction. This process involves the fabrication and assembly of various components of a building in a controlled factory environment, away from the final construction site.
One of the collaborators, New Zealand professor, Dr. Dat Doan, has shared his research with students and professors of the School of Civil Engineering during his stay. He has also been received and worked during his stay with the professor of the School of Civil Engineering, Professor Edison Atencio.
Professor Doan's stay has been of great benefit for the exchange of experiences and knowledge, and it is expected that the research carried out will be translated into scientific articles in the coming months.
