Officials from the Colombian university participated in a series of meetings with representatives from various departments of the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso.
A delegation from the Pascual Bravo University in Colombia visited the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso to learn about the university’s various areas of work and hold meetings with its representatives.
The delegation was led by the president of the Colombian institution, Liliana Patricia Restrepo Villa, and also included the Vice President for Teaching and Learning, Lina María Ortiz Quinbay; the Vice Rector for Science, Technology, Innovation, and Social Transformation, Mario Fernando Uribe Orozco; and the Vice Rector for Administration and Finance, Yuly Amparo Santos Herrera.
The day began with a meeting at the PUCV’s General Directorate of International Affairs, attended by the Director of International Exchange, Ivania Yáñez Pereda, and the Director of Projects, Ignacio Bahamonde.
The delegation then met with Jorge Mendoza, Vice President for Development; María Teresa Blanco, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Alexo Domínguez González, advisor to the Office of the Vice President for Research, Creativity, and Innovation; and Verónica Bustamante, Director General of Quality Assurance.
During the meetings, the participating units presented their main areas of focus and exchanged experiences related to teaching and learning, institutional development, research, innovation, social transformation, and quality assurance.
As part of the itinerary, the Colombian officials also visited the PUCV Sports Campus in Curauma, where they toured the facilities and learned about some of the activities taking place on the university campus.
The visit provided an opportunity for both institutions to get to know each other better and to identify areas of shared interest for potential academic and institutional collaboration.
